What I Do

Specialist Tuition & Assessment for Specific Learning Difficulties/Dyslexia in North London

I see people of all ages who may have a specific learning difficulty (SpLD) such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, processing problems and dyscalculia, for regular private tuition (slots become free at times for new students.) I also carry out full diagnostic assessments providing full reports for anyone with a suspected SpLD including recommendations for support.  Full diagnostic assessments, along with reports, are provided for those applying for Disabled Student’s Allowance.

I hold  a current Assessment Practising Certificate from the Professional Association for Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS).

Thank you so much for your kindness and hard work with him. Gabriel passed his SATS with flying colours and although we had played it down I think this has been good for his self esteem too. We will keep on with the touch typing over the summer.

Jenny

We would like to take this opportunity of very much thanking you for all the support and expert guidance you have given Joseph over the past year or so. We know that Joseph has definitely benefitted from it and will continue to benefit going forward. Joseph has also very much enjoyed all of the sessions with you.

David

You have been a huge help to Luke and us in understanding where his difficulties lie and as a result we have now got at least some of the teachers to take this on board. We’d love to keep the door open for possibly coming back to you in the future.

Susannah

I wholly recommend David Bash because not only did he work very well with Jamie but he also offered excellent feedback after each session and is a font of brilliant ideas and advice as to how you can help your child at home – links to websites, suggestions for writing aids and ergonomic seating, a typing programme that works and for us most importantly a referral to an eye specialist who pinned down one of the main reasons why our son was struggling with writing.

Jules

Thank you so much for your comprehensive and detailed report. I think it will prove extremely useful in getting Maia the support she deserves and it has helped to make sense of a number of issues over the years.

Deborah

We all three would like to thank you for your immense help and support of Anna. You made a huge difference and we have and will continue to highly recommend you.

Martina

I would like to thank you very much for the work you have done with Sammy. I believe it has been a great success and I know he will miss seeing you. We would be very happy to recommend your tutoring.

David tutored Gabriella for three years. She has dyslexia and dyspraxia. With David’s assistance, and the support of the school’s new SENCO who came on board after David had helpfully suggested we got our daughter assessed, she has made considerable progress – so much so that she successfully sat the exam and was accepted for a popular independent school. We are very pleased with Dave’s professionalism and supportiveness and are delighted with progress our daughter has made with his assistance.
